You spoke. We listened!

As we gear up for an exciting new website launch in the coming months, World Pulse surveyed leaders in the community to find out what's working and what needs improvement. Here's what they had to say — and how you can give input on what's next at World Pulse.

Storyteller is the category that most resonates and appeals to badged leaders. As a result, we are now offering more Story Awards than ever before - including more calls for stories and four to six awards each month! That Means those who share stories often have even more chances to receive editorial support, increased visibility, publication, and a $100 honorarium for your writing! A World Pulse Certified Trainer offering is of immense interest! As a result, in 2022, Digital Ambassadors will be able to be trained to deliver brand new, World Pulse training modules on four topics! Are You interested in being a trainer? Apply today to become a Digital Ambassador! Current Digital Ambassadors can renew their term here.

Measuring and reporting impact is the most desired training. As a result, starting at the end of September, any World Pulse member will be able to access training on Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning and put that training into practice with your very own Impact Dashboard! That Means, you can get started on measuring the impact you are building in your community and sharing it with the entire World Pulse community. Stay tuned for more details on Impact Dashboards.

Featured Changemakers value global visibility and recognition. As a result, a global impact dashboard will be featured across the website highlighting Featured Changemakers who have made recent Initiative Updates, giving Featured Changemakers increased opportunities to get their initiatives in front of a global audience. Badges are important to leaders for acknowledgement and motivation. As a result, World Pulse will launch three new badges along with a brand new, World Pulse website,

• Celebrating all Changemakers who have launched an initiative on the Impact Dashboard.


• Honoring Encouragers who leave high quality comments that help members feel heard, valued, and supported.


• Celebrating Storytellers whose posts are featured on World Pulse’s social channels & emails.

One to one connections are the most-valued benefit of holding a badge. As a result, at the end of 2021 a new website experience will feature an enhanced member directory and profile features. You'll be able to more easily find and connect with other World Pulse members seeking connections.

Encouragers would like better notifications about new stories of interest to them. As a result, our new site experience will notify you when people you follow post new stories. That means you can discover and comment on more stories that speak to your heart.

Less than a third of badge holders have received meaningful resources or opportunities on World Pulse. As a result, World Pulse will be overhauling the Resource Exchange. That means it will look different on the new site — and there will be more opportunities to give input on resources as we iterate toward a new, improved Resource Exchange that will better support you and your vision.

There is interest in Regional or Country Chapters on World Pulse. As a result, we are building a working group in the community to pilot chapters in the future. We'll experiment with regional or country-based chapters in the future!

We heard there is interest in advocacy tools and toolkits. As a result, members will soon be able to access resources and strategic support to enhance advocacy efforts. We're also looking at ways members can mobilize the World Pulse community to take action and mobilize around causes.
