Before your toes are beginning to kiss the grass and your foot clinges to the root of the sand, let me give you some advice that might serve as a guide for you through the years ahead.

Right now, in momma's hand, you are enjoying the warmth of her body, either in heat or cold. Warm breast milk fills your small stomach. You always want to remain in her arms because you enjoy the feeling of it. Know this for sure: that age will swift you off that position and place you right in another.

At that stage, one thing should be your strength—embracing every change that comes your way with positive energy. This is called growth, and it will keep going on and on because growth is paramount.

In all of this and for each stage of your life, you need to know:

First, you have the girl power; it's inside of you, in your voice; it is called the ability to see your inner strength, to accept and believe in yourself.

Believe me, girl, you will stand firm in times of adversity. When the storm roars heavily, it makes the tree take a deeper root, although it might bend you but never break, just like the trees. It should show your real strength; it is part of the process to mold you into the best version of yourself.

Furthermore, go at a slower pace. How your leg is designed to function is a step forward. So, you should learn from it. It's just the beginning of the journey. I understand the feeling of wanting to decide and do everything at once; you want to experience everything; you want to get to the top; to plan out your life; to find true love; all at once.

hay! Girl, slow down—don't rush!

Allow your life to unfold; take it a step at a time. It's your time, so take it.

Don't misunderstand me; it's essential that you take action. Walking towards your goal and making plans for the future is good; you should cultivate it. However, racing forward at a faster pace is a surefire way to burn out and a great way to miss life as it goes by.

Last but not least, remember your creator in the days of your youth. Know that you are never all by yourself; you have a guide and a watch over you. Believe in him, and he will lead you to the right and best path for you.

My dear Erinayo, never allow situations to define you; never compare yourself with anybody; you have a uniqueness that no one has ever had (you are just the best and perfect version of yourself). Always speak up when necessary, stand by your convictions, be assertive when necessary, and maintain your sense of self-worth. Love yourself and live your life.
