Some of us, women across many communities are suppressed in the name of Religion and Culture.

Some of us are captured and commodified in the name of Liberty and Beauty.

Some of us are cocooned in our own little prisons refusing to read widely, think deeply or, react wisely.

The Neo-Liberal world seals women’s body with an expiry date. It tells you what to wear and what not to wear. It decides and influences your freedom if there is any at all. It has succeeded in creating an illusion of success, beauty, and freedom.

We strongly felt that an Alternative Voice should emerge with a special focus on Asian Women. That is how the idea of FemAsia Magazine was conceived. We pledged to allow Independent Thought to flow freely within FemAsia Magazine. We decided to talk about Untalked. FemAsia speaks through many channels, such as Culture, Politics, Beauty, Health, Spirituality, Poetry, Films, Art, Food, Travel, etc.

FemAsia Magazine is not for Women alone. I personally believe that any issue affecting the women will affect the entire society. Likewise, an issue affecting the society will affect women too.

Through FemAsia, women from all walks of life from homemakers to academic personnel, activists to policymakers will be impacted. Our special focus is on the Asian region and women but is not limited to. We hope this venture will continue to bring women writers, activists and academics into one space, building a stronger community to impact the world.
