One of our blind student doing trampoline.

Mostly I heard people saying “What a Blind person can do?”

For more than years I have been hearing this. I explore research and try to find solution for this question.

Can Blind people participate in adventurous sports? This was a lingering question that was in my mind for more than 2 decades.

As an initiative for this we arranged adventurous trips for our Blind students to create confidence and independence in them. It was indeed an unique experience for our students. I could see my students eagerly participating in rock climbing, trampoline and other adventurous sports. Yes, I could see the positive vibes and enthusiasm in them.

Nothing hindered my students in taking participating in land zorbing, spider web and so on.

Though we have tried this initiative before, this trip gave our entire team a sense of confidence and independence. The volunteers and public were able to understand that we Blind people can also do adventurous activities just like sighted people do.

We are no more confined within the four walls anymore!!!

A small initiative, but a big change!!!!!!!!!
