Happy Mental Health Awarenesses Month, Speak Up, Save your Life
Today I was presented a certificate of participation in creating good health and wellbeing. Am glad it was presented in May, Mental Health Awarenesses Month.
I became a mental health awareness ambassador because there's a time I needed one genuine person to help me out of a suicidal SGBV situation but it was never easy to find one. Only one friend who at this point had nothing more to do about it to help me out.
Another situation is when I have was hot by the repercussions of my childhood traumas which were irreversible. Then I realised that sharing with people about the stories actually relieved my heart from the burden of extreme and severe mental health issues.
A mental health practitioner is one who doesn't Judge a victim from what they're going through but rather offer any form of support that is within their jurisdictions to help them come out of difficult situations.
Good mental health practitioners are those who have undergone same situations and have first hand experience with such issues. They'll explain how they went about them through their healing journey.
Throughout my mentorship sessions, I have seen children and women suffering on things they cannot talk about to the public due to fear of social judgement. If you come across someone suffering from a mental or psychological torture, be kind. As long as you understand their situation. Try to talk to them if they can come out openly about it or talk to someone else, a professional who can offer their support.
Also, use search engine optimization services to look for contacts that can help them out.
