I have read some stories here on WorldPulse months back and also recently where our Sisters here from all parts of the world lament on Women being excluded from Leadership positions.
To most women with the mindset to change the narratives in their various countries, being a "She" is one thing, being a She-that-leads is another ball game.
Women don't just become chosen leaders automatically when they mature but, most leadership characteristics most of us have or we see in women started when they were girl child.
The Girlchild in most societies are being relegated to the background during our great grand fathers generation years back but in our own present Generation, a lot of us have taken the bull by the horn to change that old primitive mindset of seeing the girlchild as not having any potential apart from cooking, making babies, cleaning and farming.
We have lots of women advocates championing the cause of training the girlchild to the fullest so she can become a tool of positive change and transformation when she matures as a woman.
Though we have more women calling out their Government to give the girlchild her rights to full education, healthcare and otherwise, we still need to do more.
We can't have future women leaders if we fail to train, educate and empower the girlchild in our various grassroots communities or in the cities.
As an advocate, you do not need to register an NGO before you can empower the girl child in your community or neighborhood. Not that registering an NGO is bad but we can achieve more using the little we have to achieve what we need than, not doing anything at all because, you are waiting for huge monetary opportunities before you touch lives. Infact from doing the little you can for our girls in your village, neighborhood, you are laying a great foundation for greater heights of establishing an NGO.
The future She-that-leads starts from grooming and empowering every girlchild we come in contact with who needs to obtain good Education including vocational skills, mentoring, moral discipline so that by the time they mature into womanhood, the zeal to be great leaders will shine through them. They will not be afraid to compete with their male counterparts in the political and office arenas.📍
