New profile features! Ready to update yours?

Hi again! As usual, I’m here to share new features and changes we have recently launched on World Pulse. These upgrades feel even newer than previous ones as they coincide with a new year! I hope you all had a great start to 2023 and I wish for us all that the new year brings love, peace, and wisdom into our lives.

So, what’s new on the World Pulse site this year? Let’s dive in!

Mentor profile

We have added a new profile for Mentors! If you are already a Mentor in the World Pulse Mentor Program, you can now update your profile to share your background and expertise with the community.

Here is a snapshot of how it looks! Mentors have two tabs on their profiles: one for their member profile, and another one for their Mentor profile. Tap on each to view the details!

You can easily edit your information following the same steps you use to edit your member profile: Click on the three dots on the top right and then on ‘Edit my Profile’:

Languages, time zone, and call availability

If you’re not interested in being a Mentor on World Pulse, there are new updates for you on your profile, too! Now you can add the languages you speak, your time zone, as well as your preferred times for joining live, virtual World Pulse events. Click on the three dots on the top right and then on ‘Edit my Profile’, same as shown in the image above. You’ll find new fields to update! Right below your birthdate date, you will see three new drop down menus:

• I speak the following languages fluently…
• My time zone is…
• I’m most available to attend calls during the following dates and times…

When you update your profile to include this information, you’ll help World Pulse know the best times to offer World Pulse virtual events, as well as which language options should be available on World Pulse and on live calls. This information will also help us develop a new feature that will pair those seeking mentors with those who have the expertise and skills needed — as well as compatible time zones and languages (more info coming soon!).

It will take you just a couple of seconds to update your profile to include this information — and it will have a HUGE impact on World Pulse and the collective action we can take together.

Profile wall

Now there’s a new way to connect with members! Visit a member’s profile to leave a comment on their Wall. This new feature allows you to reach out and connect with members who may not have shared a story yet. Leave a comment to start a conversation! You can even encourage them to take the leap and share a story with the community.

It’s easy — click on ‘My wall’ to leave a public note for any member’s profile.
