I am the Director of an organisation called Sheltered Pregnancy Organisation. We operate in Zimbabwe were there is unsupported pregnancies. Gilrs fall pregnant while they are still in school and with no means to take care of themselves and their babies. Most women are economically challenged and find themselves destitute because of pregnancy. We plan to psycho-social support, shelter, pre and post natal care, education and bursaries through various projects.

I am calling on any well-wishers to help make this initiative a success. We require, baby clothes, sanitary pads, detergents, food, money and any other items that can make the lives of these young women better.

Most of the women we have come from very poor communities. Often when the pregnancy is discovered, the women are abandoned by their partners and families. They are required to stop school and increase the cycle of poverty. This has given rise to unwanted and dangerous abortions, some of them resulting to death.
