The situation faced by women and girls, in war torn Sudan is incredibly distressing. These strong individuals, who should be enjoying their rights are increasingly at risk of experiencing sexual violence. The 4.2 million Sudanese women are living in fear ,vulnerable to gender based and sexual violence. The ongoing conflict has also disrupted the education of children, girls which deprives them of the opportunity to create a better future for themselves. Its disheartening that the world seems indifferent to their suffering. It's crucial that we recognize the value of every woman regardless of her circumstances. The women in Sudan are our sisters who desperately need education and empowerment as their birthright.
They deserve opportunities and the freedom to exercise their human rights, alongside women worldwide. Together we must stand in solidarity with these individuals assuring them that they aren't alone. We must ensure that their voices are heard, acknowledge their struggles and provide them with the support they desperately need. Our hearts go out to the women of Sudan; they won't be forgotten as their plight remains deeply ingrained in our conscience.
