Sharing stories allows me to connect with people by giving them a piece of who I am, what I do, and why I do what I do. Also, allowing them to discover common ground and be engaged. It is a powerful way to gain insight into someone's perspective and past, which shapes who they are now. Sharing stories is about freedom and respect.

People nowadays have a lot to share and speak about, especially when the world is changing so quickly and crises, as well as movements and initiatives are everywhere. Encouraging others is a catalyst for hidden talents to blossom and skills to improve. Encouraging is about giving them motivation to be part of something for someone or something. It is significant because it provides support and motivation to help people feel better about themselves and their work and that they are valued. Encouraging others not only brings good vibes and a positive outlook to those you encourage, but also to you.

Everyone has a story to tell. And in everyone’s story, there is value. So how good would it be if we could sit around and share our lives, experiences, knowledge, challenges, and faith with others? Would you share what you’ve learned in your life if you knew it might help someone else? It is this very premise that inspired me to write my first book, “What We Know for Sure: Inspirational Stories of Special Immigrants in America.”  My mission in sharing our stories in this book is to give hope and inspiration to future immigrant families who face the challenges of immigrating to America. In this book, we share the process of coming to America, the lessons we learned along the way, and the truth behind the hard work and sacrifices it takes to stay. Our stories were written to comfort, educate, and guide any immigrant throughout their journey to America. And sharing stories means learning wisdom.

Encouraging, empowering, and inspiring one another is what we need to succeed and be a better person. An encouragement may turn a timid and unmotivated person into a believer, achiever, and driven individual.  In the world we live in now, everyone can use simple encouragement. Inspiration is a way to thrive.

Sharing stories is like sharing a part of you to someone and trusting that someone to understand you.

Encouraging someone is very important because it gives that person a sense of importance - s/he matters and what s/he does also matters.

When i was just a wee age of six, reading was already a favorite past time that I can't get off with. Having a lola and lolo perhaps who were both retired teachers had this early influence in me--- the habit of reading books. It all started when Lola read to me the poem, which almost three decades now, I still can memorize by heart, "All Things Bright and Beautiful." This gradually lead me to an earnest liking in reading more poems, memorizing it and reciting it to fellow members during lunch gatherings. Much to my pride for having cousins and family members brood over me with delight. Ohh, this nostalgia always bring me sheer delight. So right there, that was pure story sharing.

A shared story may be beneficial for most, it may give you a reaffirmation of your values, may raise your voice over something your firmly rooting on, or simply for the reason that sharing a story---yes, your very own story, is a key to your inner peace. Yes, this works well with same thing as reading. It's just the typical synonymous thing of grabbing my brushes, paints and canvas over an extra draining day at work or as a mom yet the moment that I get hold of it I just can't help the involuntary strokes thus relieving the taut tension that was making me super edgy. That's the power of sharing a story or two.  With a shared story, you simply don't know... You may have heal, inform, or even inspire someone... Words are powerful.  It can pierce any cold heart guaranteed your writing is a tone of utmost humility. It quench a soul who got a thirst for knowledge. And most of all, stories can INSPIRE.

INSPIRE SOMEONE TO STRIVE HARDER,  NOT JUST BETTER.

Sharing a story is like opening a door leading somewhere. When you open a door, anyone who is willing to step inside will have the opportunity to discover and learn from that 'somewhere' which may be unheard of, not well-lit, or hidden away for all sorts of reasons. Sharing a story becomes a free-flowing medium of communication for both the storyteller and the listener or reader.

Encouragement has always been a powerful tool but with the current health crisis, its role in our lives becomes more vital. Some of us may not be as blessed to continue with our usual ongoings nor lucky enough to consider other possibilities, but encouragement can go a long way. It motivates and empowers people despite the circumstances. For as long as the 'will' is nurtured, there is always a reason to look forward to the future.

Your story and my story can inspire, it is unique that it can bring impact to a person’s life. All of us have stories to tell, it should be told, written, heard because that is how we are created, a life with a story.

We face a myriad of problems in life. We need a dose of encouragement daily. Our words have power that can bring a difference to a person who needs to be seen and cared about. Encouragement is like an air, as you breath in, there is hope and to look forward.  Encouraging doesn’t need to be intellectual, all knowing, but you can encourage thru listening by letting the person know that you feel, hear, see and understand her/him. Don’t stop encouraging, we need it all the more.
