Gender Based Violence is still existing in our societies, it's our chance to put an end to it
Supporting the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign is important because it raises awareness about the prevalence of gender-based violence and aims to promote action to end it.
The campaign, running from November 25th to December 10th, calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls worldwide.
Supporting this initiative demonstrates a commitment to promoting equality, advocating for human rights, and fostering safer, more inclusive communities for everyone.
That is Why as a victim and survivor of SGBV, am also looking forward to sharing 16 stories, Advocacy messages and campaign ideas on the same.
Remember this is a call to Action for all of us to continue amplifying our voices and end the negative gender stereotypes and inequalities that we're facing.
In 2022, our theme was: “Socio-Economic Rights and Empowerment to build Women's Resilience against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide: Connect, Collaborate, Contract!”
In 2023, the UNiTE campaign theme is Invest to Prevent Violence against Women & Girls. In every country and culture, more action is needed to ensure women in all their diversity live free of violence and coercion.
